While this TCI study (Powering Arizona: Choices & Trade-Offs for Electricity Policy), cosponsored by the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, focuses on energy supply and demand in Arizona, it provides an outline for the direction of a national energy policy. The study provides valuable perspectives on energy for other states and the nation as a whole. The research staff includes top scholars from Penn State University and Arizona State University with world energy experience. An overview is available on our website, AnalysisOnline.

With the agenda including insights from three national experts, a forum on growth at the University of Arizona Tucson campus brought together planners, environmentalists, economists, and state officials to begin determining strategies to lead Tucson and its projected population growth of 500,000 or more into the middle of the century (according to the EBRC Economic Outlook, 2008-2009.)  The forum drew a crowd of 600 on the heels of an Arizona growth survey conducted by the Arizona Daily Star.

Immigration has a direct relationship to the economy. Despite costs of illiegal immigrants, they are also a direct cotnributor to the economy. The Arizona Republic
